小品「海からの贈り物」が生まれるまで

ある年の夏の終わり、人影の去った海岸を散歩していた時
ふと波打ち際にキラキラした見慣れないものが目に飛び込んで来た
拾って太陽に透かして見ると、貝殻ではなくグリーンのガラス片だった
もとはどんな形をしていて、誰の持ち物だったのだろうか
すると、白やピンクの貝殻が次々と見つかり
気がつくと、ポケケットいっぱいになっていた
帰ってからJINORIのプレートに彼らをならべてみた
それをオードブルに見立てて飲んだ一杯のシャンパンの泡の一粒が弾け
なぜか、私は「私の耳は貝の耳」「海の響きを懐かしむ」
と、若い頃に読んだ誰かの詩のフレーズを口にしていた
弾ける若さと、小麦色をした少女と青春の時間（とき）どき
数々のあま酸っぱい思い出が
宝石箱を散りばめたように頭の中を駆けめぐった
そんな思ひ出を絵にしてみた

THE NEW PAINTING
         #3 [The gifts from the sea]

Please look closer at these marvelous gifts from the sea in Japan. I picked up these jewelries of shells at the beach near where I was staying in summer with my family a few years ago.
 These look truly like colorful jewelries. Some of them were pink shells, others green shells; ”oops” these are not shells but broken pieces of glass which look like real jewelries. Each of us picked up various kinds of ’em at that time. I discovered these shells from my desk the other day, then tried putting them on just like hors d’ oeuvres on the plate[Richard Ginori ] .
I still remember these good memories of one day in the past with my lovely family.  (Jan.20/2017)

A thought about the night sky

What a great imagination of the ancient people ! They had many talents for surviving their actual daily life but also for arts. For example, they had a talent for making the story of the constellation,　such as the Great Bear, the Little Bear, the Big Dipper, the Swan and the Cassiopeia and so on. All these name have attractive stories. One day, I stayed at the mountain -side lodge for camping. I saw thousands of stars are sparkling in the sky. They are really attractive and I never seen them  in Tokyo but I could not find any
constellations in the sky but lso but also I could not imagine any attractive story from the sparkling sky. I realized that I have some knowledge about the general science but have not any creative capacity compared to the ancient people had.(2/24/17)

A WATER DROP ON A LOTUS LEAF

Keeping rest of your own mind is difficult
as difficult as stopping a water drop on a swaying lotus leaf from falling
This is caused by the gravity and the stream of the wind
If you try to stop thinking but a shred of thought
is always drifting here and there out of control in your mind
Zen gives you a best answer. If you sometimes feel like a droplet of water
on a lotus leaf.
Try the meditation and accept things as they are

　　　 #4 A window of the teahouse

A teahouse uses simple materials, like wooden pillars, wattles and mud walls, bamboos and traditional Japanese paper. The purpose of a window of the western house is to shutdown the air between the inside and outside of the house, but a teahouse paper screen (shoji) does not shutdown the air completely from outside air but try to get the air and light from outside through thin paper. According to Zen, it is important to realize that a very thin line separates what is within us from what is outside of us.
Can you see and feel the outside even the screen is shut ? I hope you can see and feel some greens and what is outside even your screen or window is closed.

AT A LOCAL BAKERY

I can easily find European style bread in the town. This is one of them. The size of it is almost two children’s head or more and baked with whole wheat flour. The first bakery in my memory was back in the 1950’s and we could get them only with a special coupon under rationing. What we could get is just a few pounds of white bread. There were a few kinds , such as a rolls which was served at the school meal, and cream bun, chocolate bun.
 Foods can easily reminds me to old memories in childhood.

1982 met Mr.Reiji Hiramatsu and started Japanese style painting
    　   under the great influence from him.
1992 the 1st solo exhibition at Wako Gallery in Ginza
1993~1996 solo exhibition at Osaka, Fukuoka and Tokyo again
2006 invited as a guest exhibiter of the festival of Kamakura Hachiman
     　  Shrine~present
2016 got a painting blessed to the Daitoku-ji, Jukou-in in Kyoto and to the
     　  Ninomiya Kindergarten in Maebashi
2017 got a painting purchased the long-established Japanese –style confectioner“ Ichimonji-Ya”,
      　 got a painting blessed Hoboji Temple in Takasaki
     　  Permanent preservation to Bunkyo Word
     　  Permanent preservation to alma mater Takasaki High School
